5/31/2023 0 Comments Tesla vs lovecraft review ign![]() While the bosses are simply larger versions of the normal enemies, they pose a decent challenge and require the player to strategically choose their upgrades early in these encounters. You’ll face off against spiders, blobs, and strange tentacles, among other ghastly stylized creatures that spew a respectable amount of purple blood upon death. With the visuals being on par with most indie games you’ll find on the market, the graphics won’t disappoint, but are nothing to write home about. The enemies you face are well rendered and rarely blend into the level, which has been a bit of a setback in previous shmups. The only thing I would have changed would have been removing the right trigger requirement to shoot and simply use the right stick. Offering the high level of polish that 10tons LTD has been known for in its previous releases (Time Recoil, Jydge), the game controls like it should. Having completed the first difficulty and being half way through the second as of this writing, I have only been able to purchase a few of these. ![]() The biggest issue with these is the cost of the upgrades compared to how often you accrue them not being balanced. These upgrades do not change gameplay as much as the perks do mid-game, but they will help the player once reaching the higher difficulties. These require the player to collect crystals that are rewarded for killing X number of a certain enemy, finishing levels, completing weekly bounties, and will appear randomly in higher levels as pickups. There are also permanent upgrades that can be applied to your character. Since the upgrades and weapons available are randomized, some of the more difficult levels will be harder if you don’t find something to even out the playing field, resulting in multiple attempts to complete the level. This works for the most part but can add frustration as well. These come fairly often, but reset each time the player leaves the level, giving the title a rouge-lite feel. ![]() The upgrades stack, so if you’re lucky enough to get multiples of the more devastating perks, you’ll want to take advantage of them. During standard play you’ll level up Tesla and be given the option between one of two perks to apply to the character. When you end up with a good roll, it’s amazing. I found the repeater shotgun (basically a fully automatic version) with the multi-shot and bouncing effects to be the most worthwhile. The biggest game changer will be the perks that modify how your weapons fire, with upgrades such as ammo bouncing off of walls, piercing groups of enemies, or multiple bullets being fired at the same time being up for grabs. While the abilities are limited to a set number of uses, the weapons feature unlimited ammo, although they must be reloaded. You are able to carry one crowd-control ability in addition to one weapon at a time. You’ll start each level with a basic pistol and typically find various types of shotguns, machine guns, but being that this is Tesla, you’ll also find a gun that shoots lightning balls. The arsenal at your disposal is pretty normal for this type of game. This ability can be used multiple times in succession and has a fairly quick recharge rate. In addition to the mech, you can teleport or dash through enemies and obstacles, which makes traversing the level and avoiding enemies quite easy on the standard difficulty. Once it has been depleted you can collect the pieces again, as they will respawn at random points in the level and once complete, and you can activate the ability again at your leisure. After completing a few tutorial levels and collecting all of the pieces needed to assemble your mech suit, you will begin each level in the suit, which is a limited ability that will drain quickly. That said, there’s a decent amount of content to be found in this title. Each level can be completed between a few seconds and a few minutes, with an entire playthrough on a single difficulty lasting a few hours through its 20+ levels. Each level will either task the player with mowing down waves of enemies thrown at them, or completing basic tasks such as collecting items or destroying other non-threatening objects. Each level can You’ll step into the shoes of Tesla as he takes down the forces of Lovecraft across multiple areas using a mech, standard weaponry, as well as some designs by the legendary inventor himself. ![]() You’ll step into the shoes of Tesla as he takes down the forces of Lovecraft across multiple areas using a mech, standard weaponry, as well as some designs by the legendary inventor himself.

5/31/2023 0 Comments Simcity 2000 for windows 7![]() It is also interesting to note that the folder where this version resides on the SimClassics CD has a hidden attribute set. I would also assume that this is the main reason for not having this version advertised at all, instead quietly switching/adding this to the planned collections like SimClassics and others., without much notice. Yes, by the time the Windows (95) version of SCC got released, the game was already 6 years old, and SC2000 going into its 3rd year. It could be one of those things were Microsoft (or someone) asked Maxis to make a Win95 version for such a purpose and Maxis had no plans to offer it in retail until years later, when the idea of offering whole collections on CD was pursued. you know, like something bundled with or offered alongside low-powered Win95 computers that were given away in developing countries and sold to schools. It could be one of those things where Microsoft (or someone) asked Maxis to make a Win95 version for such a purpose and Maxis had no plans to offer it in retail until years later, when the idea of offering whole collections on CD was pursued.Īlso, I'm just speculating, but I wonder if the Win95 version was designed less to be a retail product and more as something for emerging and educational markets. Who was going to pay for the classic SimCity when SimCity 2000 could be purchased, instead? On top of that, by late '95/early '96, SimCity 2000 had been out over 2 years already, so it wouldn't have been full price any more.Īlso, I'm just speculating, but I wonder if the Win95 version was designed less to be a retail product and more as something for emerging and educational markets. It's likely because SimCity 2000 had already been released and was a massive improvement (not that SimCity was bad, but it was a 1989 game, originally). Why is the 32-bit Windows 95 version is so rare and unheard of? Anyone know? It also features a different main menu, slightly different toolbars, more detailed maps and different music. On this CD, you'll find both - the Win3.1 and Win95 versions, the latter one including the elusive "Classics 95" graphic set, which is a mixture of mostly graphics from the "Extended DOS CD"-version mixed with a few new graphics. To conclude.: The only release where I have successfully located the Win95 version is ""Sim Classics - Maxis Collections 3" from 1997 (bundles SimCity Classic together with SimIsle and SimTower). It may also be included in the "SimCity Classic Deluxe" release from 1996/97, because that version features a "Designed for Win95"-sticker on the packaging, making me think that the W95-version is also on there. ( This is the version which jewelcase is shown in one of the replies above) Despite it saying "Installing SimCity Classic for Windows 95", there is no standalone W95-version on there, sadly. ![]() In another release, the " CD-Rom Classics"-Series, there is a mention in the jewelcase about installation instructions specifically for Windows 95, directing you to another folder for (what you would guess is a) Win95-version, but I have checked this version and the Win95 version is NOT included. It is definitely included in the "Sim Classics - Maxis Collections 3" disc in a folder labelled "Win95". I have found one of the releases where this (the Win95 version of SimCity Classic - also known as Simcity Classic 2.0) was distributed. I don't want to resurrect an old thread without reason, but seeing as the conversation about this topic ended abruptly 2 years ago without any real results, and as I was searching for this elude version of SimCity Classic myself recently after getting to know its existence, I felt the urge to register for the very reason to shed some light into this. Thanks for the pic too, it looks like the version in your pic has 3 separate installers, but until someone shows Version 2.0 or has the disc, we don't know 100%. Yes it's very interesting because there is not a lot of reliable info available on the Win 95 version and there was never an update/upgrade provided for the Win 3.1 version. Maybe it was a limited jewel-case only release. There doesn't seem to be anything particularly distinctive about the packaging, unfortunately.Ī similar disc appears in … c-/381383337771 you can just barely make out screenshots of what is clearly a Windows 95 version on the back. The second image (attached for posterity) indicates installation instructions for "SimCity Classic for Windows 3.1", "SimCity Classic for Windows 95", and "SimCity Classic for Macintosh". I tried a Google Image Search for and found … c-/271964947192. 5/31/2023 0 Comments Food splayerAs a 3PL provider, we at R2 play a critical role in temperature-controlled shipping by providing specialized logistics and transportation services that help our clients maintain the integrity of their products.
